Amongst these breaks you’ll find spots that cater to the beginner and others that serve up waves to satiate an intermediate and even advanced surfer.”

Galle Fort
Centuries old Galle Fort, the crowning jewel of southern Sri Lanka and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is just 25 minutes away. Start your historical exploration with a breezy walk around the perimeter of the fort atop the fortified rampart walls, take in the iconic white lighthouse, and pause to watch local kids leap from Flag Rock into the deep azure waters below. The winding backstreets of Galle Fort are a haven for shopaholics, dotted with boutiques selling colourful clothing, beautiful homewares and memorable souvenirs.
